History

Glenhead Engineering Ltd was established in December 2004 and commenced trading in May 2005 utilising an experienced workforce, many with over forty years each in the precision engineering industry. Glenhead's HQ and well equipped plant is based in Dalmuir, Clydebank, on the banks of the River Clyde in Scotland, UK, on the other side of the river from Glasgow International Airport.  

Customers

The company has grown since then, in turnover, employees and new CNC plant and machinery. The company is very diverse in the industries that it serves, which include Aerospace, Automotive, Defence, Electronic, Energy, Food & Drink, Medical and Scientific. The company's extensive client base includes Lifescan Scotland Ltd (part of the Johnson & Johnson group), Glacier Energy Services Ltd, Mahle Engine Systems UK, and Vascutek Ltd. 

Our clients are offered precision engineered products manufactured to high tolerences which include press & mould tools, jigs & fixtures, prototyping and mandrels. In addition we provide a design & problem solving service.

The company prides itself in being reactive to customer needs. The core business aim is to meet and exceed the requirements of our customers ensuring Quality Without Compromise. Glenhead's quality standards are in conformance with its ISO9000:2008 certification proving further the company's sound foundations as a key international player in the Engineering sector, based in the West of Scotland, UK. 

Support

Scottish Enterprise and West Dumbartonshire Council have supported us from our inception, assisting with planning, training and purchasing of new kit. One of our most recent additions to our plant is shown in the picture - a Haas ST-30 CNC Lathe - a computer controlled machine that has increased our turnover, reduced machining time, and made Glenhead more competitive.

As the company continues to grow, over £200k worth of plant is being purchased within the current year, and employment will be increased by four new full-time staff.
